GTY and Stanford d.school - Empathy Workshop

04/23/2020 01:30 PM - 05/14/2020 01:00 PM ET

Description

How might we build empathy with the experiences of young people – especially in these unprecedented times -- when they are spending their time away from schools and community spaces? The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford, commonly known as the d.school, will provide a chance for some accelerated (and unconventional!) hands-on practice listening to youth voices, and together we will ask questions about the possibilities and limitations of understanding the contexts students face. You will also be guided through a process of prototype planning, so you can formulate a set of steps you might take to learn about the challenges facing young people.
